Victoria Britton breaks her silence on the Scientology death of her son Kyle Brennan on Friday, Feb 15

The God Discussion Show has announced that Victoria Britton – whose son Kyle Brennan died in Clearwater, Florida, the Scientology  Mecca, under very suspicious circumstances while visiting his Scientologist father -- will be the featured guest for the program’s two-hour Friday, February 15 live podcast.

Speaking publicly for the first time, Victoria will share with radio host Deborah Beeksma her 20-year-old son's story: what he was like growing up; how Kyle, a non-Scientologist, felt about the Church of Scientology; and how he became a victim of the church's dictatorial "handling" mandate and its well-known war against psychiatry and psychotropic medications.

Victoria will also talk about Narconon, the Scientology-run facility that bills itself as a legitimate drug rehabilitation center. Victoria's segment will last one hour.

During the show's second hour, ex-Scientologist Lance Marcor will discuss "handling" and "disconnection", two of Scientology's most injurious policies; Dr. Stephen Wiseman will talk about the church from a psychiatrist's point of view; and David Love will talk about Narconon - how the facility treats illegal drugs and medically approved medications as being one in the same, and post traumatic stress reported by participants in the Narconon program.

The Friday, February 15 show will air at 6pm Pacific/7pm Mountain/8 pm Central/9 pm Eastern/times, and 2am GMT. The show can be accessed through the God Discussion Show page. A podcast will be posted at the site after the broadcast.

Dr. Stephen Wiseman is a psychiatrist and the medical director of the Complex Pain Centre at St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, Canada. He has researched and presented on Scientology's relationship with psychiatry for many years, conducting workshops at both the American and Canadian Psychiatric Association annual conferences.

Dr. Wiseman is a proponent of evidence-based medicine, and believes that the fear and mis-information presented by Scientology about psychiatry over the years has perpetuated the stigma against patients and their families and has been very destructive to the cause of rational mental health treatment for all who require it.

David Love, who was born on the West Coast of British Columbia, now resides in the Montreal area. David formed a charitable organization in 1990 and was the director of a rehabilitation center for substance abuse.

David was both a patient and a staffer at the Narconon facility in the province of Quebec and is completing a book on his experience there. He has appeared on several God Discussion shows.
Lance Marcor joined Scientology’s “Sea Org”, the unit comprising the church’s most dedicated members, in 1978. Two years later, after arriving at “Flag Land Base”, the Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater, Florida, Scientology’s spiritual headquarters,

Lance was fully trained in the church’s “ethics policy”, a bedrock principle of founder L. Ron Hubbard’s teachings, and put in charge of 300 staff members’ “ethics.” Lance left the church in 2007, and he is uniquely qualified as a former Scientology insider to speak about the organization’s inner workings and little-understood doctrine, policies, and procedures.

Kyle Brennan was born April 2, 1986, and died on February 16, 2007. He was a talented artist and prolific writer of short stories.

Though he was only twenty at the time of his death and a sophomore in college, he was a man of international connections.

His maternal grandmother is from Montreal. His step-grandmother is from Argentina and lives in Buenos Aires. The Brittons' plans to take to him to visit her were cut short by his death.

Kyle's father's family were Irish-American Catholics. Kyle dreamed of visiting Ireland with his oldest brother Scott and then returning to open a restaurant in their home town.

Kyle spent a good deal of time visiting Berlin and other cities in Germany since his older brother Sean was stationed with the US military there. A visit Kyle made to the great church of St. Michael in Bamberg left a profound impression on him and strengthened his resolve to fight against evil.

Victoria Britton has been seeking the truth about Kyle’s death—and fighting for justice for her son, despite tremendous adversity—since his death in 2006. She believes that Kyle’s story is an important one that must be told. It can serve as a warning to others. It can save lives.

Deborah Beeksma is the founder of GodDiscussion.com, a news and review service for the growing number of people not affiliated with an organized religion. It is a Google news site, ands she is one of the hosts on the God Discussion shows.

God Discussion is a site “for believers who don’t go to church.” The views expressed on the site are not expressly denominational. It honors points of view from many traditions in discussion about God and how beliefs impact families, government, and culture.

John P. – Hedge Fund Commentary on Scientology at the Village Voice

John P. – Hedge Fund Commentary on Scientology at the Village Voice

Among the most insightful and amusing commenters in the community that has gathered around Tony Ortega’s daily postings on Scientology at the Village Voice is John P. , who is apparently gainfully employed in the hedge fund industry. He is also the international spokesman for Internet Barratry. (See our RTC vs Internet Barratry duel at the Village Voice). Below is a selection of posts by John P. which will be continually updated for as long as he continues to be insightful and/or amusing.

Comment on Tony’s article of March 8, 2012: Scientology + Nation of Islam Charter School to be Exorcised from the Earth Forever and Ever.

John P.:

It's no surprise that Scientology would try to "perfect" their techniques for infiltrating education at a school practically on their doorstep -- it turns out that Life Force Academy is only three miles from Flag in Clearwater.

But it is surprising that when they're caught red-handed, they have folded almost immediately. I'm not seeing any reports that they are trying to keep the school open. No "human rights" protest. No astroturf campaigns featuring lots of identically worded letters from local "concerned citizens" (i.e., all the Sea Org staff). Just lots of dead silence. They're apparently not fighting back at all on their home turf. That ought to embolden other school districts who are confronted with this idiocy. I'm not sure why the Church is going down without a battle, because the issues are not only the financial fraud of "Doctor" Islam but also the use of "Study Tech" and the Church's usual punish-first attitude towards kids, turning them into janitor's aides. This stands in stark contrast with the epic war being fought in a Texas courtroom.

The fact that Scientology is backing away without a peep should send a message to the Nation of Islam, who seems to be cozying up to the Church. Scientology will sell you on all sorts of interesting joint ventures for your members to make money (I'm sure "Doctor" Islam was using "management tech" from the Hubbard College of Management to decide how much to pay herself from the school's operating budget), but when the shit hits the fan, they're nowhere to be found. So much for "standing tall" with your partners.

Another recent example of the Church leaving partners twisting in the wind when they get caught: actor Michael Fairman sued his chiropractor last fall for disconnecting from him and refusing to provide medical care, a suit he'll probably make some money from, and which the doc's insurance probably won't cover. Once again, they'll tell you how to run your business but they're nowhere to be found when you get caught in the sleaze that they preach. And you get caught holding the bag.

It would be interesting to see if "Dr." Islam ends up being charged criminally due to bankruptcy fraud. Bankruptcy courts tend to take a dim view of executives enriching themselves by looting the corpse of a company teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, especially when the company is in a position of public trust (i.e., running a public school). And doing so in the face of a written agreement to the contrary, which "Dr." Islam had signed with the Court, is particularly egregious.

Note to "Dr." Islam: bankruptcy judges and attorneys are compulsive numbers geeks that put me utterly to shame. They take their jobs very seriously. Even at the rushed pace of court hearings there, they have an uncanny ability to find the numbers that indicate bad behavior. They live and breathe for that sort of thing and they're generally quite good at it. They honed in on your extra $15,000 check in seconds. Mess with bankruptcy court and they will catch it. One can only hope to see this third-rate grifter doing the perp walk soon.

Scientology's cowardice in Pinellas County, where there are more Scientologists than anywhere else on earth, is telling. An attempt to take over a public institution is apparently easily rebuffed, and they skulk quietly away. I'm guessing that's because they don't think any members will bolt over this latest flap. By contrast, the Church is starting WW III in Texas, because members who attempt to get some measure of independent thought after leaving the Church must be destroyed at any cost.

I am looking forward to "The Master," which I hadn't heard about previously. Coming practically on the heels of Sasha Baron Cohen's "The Dictator," which ought to lampoon the Sea Org command structure as much as it sends up Middle Eastern despots, it ought to be a really bad year for Scientology at the movies. I am sure you'll be able to milk Hollywood contacts to dredge up lots more advance information over the summer, giving us lots more opportunities for fun.

My guess: Joaquin Phoenix is going to play Captain Bill Robertson in "The Master." I am sure the ladies will swoon to see him in that tight-fitting silver mesh Galactic Patrol costume.

Great reporting, Tony, especially on picking stories #2 and #3 for the Thursday Stats roundup that we hadn't seen previously.

Updated: RTC vs Internet Barratry duel at the Village Voice

RTC vs Internet Barretry duel at the Village Voice

A lively community of commenters has grown up around at the Village Voice blog, Runnin’ Scared, where Voice Editor In Chief Tony Ortega posts daily on Scientology. He has become the number one source of breaking news on Scientology in the US.

The commenters are knowledgeable with several people with keen understanding of legal issues. They are also lulzy. None more so than John P. and OTVIIIisGrr8!! in their respective roles as Internet Barretry and RTC – the Religious Technology Center of which Scientology cult leader David Miscavige is the COB – Chairman of the Board.

Here is their exchange from Scientology: Dear Judge, Protect Us from Rathbun and Rinder!

RTC:

We in RTC are quite enturbulated by John P. and his so-called analysis of OSA Legal tactics and strategy. We do not want or need this sort of internet meddling that gives Ray Jeffrey any advantage.

Accordingly, we will be filing a motion in court to have John P. sanctioned for malicious internet lawyering. While this is not technically a crime, it should be outlawed along with the rest of the internet.

This speaks to the larger problem of how Religion itself is to survive in the internet age. The Vatican website was just hacked by the Psychiatric-Terrorist group Anonymous and now Scientology is having its good name and reputation dragged through the mud in Texas by several defrocked bitter apostates. These people are acting in concert with Big Pharma and yet the Texas court is blind and does not see the conspiracy to destroy Scientology. If there were a God, God would be on Scientology's side -- this assuming God did not have any evil thoughts about COB RTC David Miscavige. We in RTC would sec check God, but we digress.

We in RTC think that there should be at least two internets:

1. An internet for insane wogs where they can have their porn, drugs, politics, and the "Free Speech" that is actually Hate Speech. This would be the Reactive Mind Internet where anything goes.

2. A religious internet where only wholesome pro-family value content is allowed. No entheta would be allowed. These made up stories of pedophile priests or "fair game" would not be allowed. Religious people do not want Jesus laughed at, Islam insulted, or Mankind's only hope for salvation -- and here we speak of Scientology -- mocked and ridiculed.

Scientology's legal matters do not belong on the internet. Our legal matters belong behind closed doors in a courtroom we control. The Inquisition worked for the Catholics for hundreds of years. We in RTC favor a Neo-Inquisition where religions have rights. As it now stands only criminals have rights and this is why drugs and illiteracy are on the rise and SP's like Tony Ortega are free to walk the streets at night.

Internet Barretry:

We in Internet Barratry are delighted to note the level of enturbulation experienced by you in RTC. We view this as the ultimate validation of our existence, given that our insightful commentary comes despite our lack of fancy law degrees or other actual qualifications.

If annihilation of the omnipresent, rapidly expanding, peaceful, kind and indeed almost Vestal-virginally innocent Church of Scientology is beyond the ken of our sharp, flawless reasoning, we'll settle for a good dose of enturbulation. And caek on the side.

You in RTC seem to be especially strident in your comments about porn. We in Internet Barratry observe that without porn, the Internet would quickly collapse and go out of business. The billions of dollars spent on untold miles of fiber optic cables would quickly go to waste. Mighty companies would fail, and thousands of jobs would be lost. And many lawsuits would be filed, all of which we could comment on ad nauseum in our various forums. When people are happy, they stop suing each other, and we have less to do. When they are mad, they sue, and then we in Internet Barratry swing into action with our main weapons: wit, snark and an almost fanatical devotion to the lulz. So the collapse of the Internet would be good for us even though we, like anybody else, would miss our porn.

But we don't think the collapse of the Internet would be good for you in RTC. Porn subsidizes RTC's digital pulpit for dissemination, Scientology dot org, which is the 70,761th most popular web site in the world (down only 30% in visitors in the last week, per Alexa dot com). Those stats are dismal enough. But where would the stats go if millions of households cancelled their internet service because porn went away and all there was left to do on the Internet was to buy cheap costume jewelry from QVC dot com?

Let's face it. Nobody is going to go to the trouble of reading about Scientology at work. Everybody accesses porn at work because of the faster bandwidth. But it would mark you as some sort of loser if you were caught trying study up on your HCO Policy Letters from 1963 on your lunch break in your cubicle, while everybody else is kicking back and checking out the classic "Young High School Cheerleaders in Bondage."

You also have to have people with home Internet service to get them to listen to your main man of psych-busting dissemination, Chill E.B., and his latest lyrical masterpiece. Companies won't tolerate the noise of "Yo, kill psychs, bro!" echoing across the cubicle tops. All we're saying is that if you want to clear the planet, you have to let people have their porn.

We also note an interesting flaw in RTC's reasoning about the separate Internet. Some of the biggest consumers of porn are the leaders of the wholesome pro-family movement. Remember Pastor Ted Haggard? He's just the first example that comes to mind. A separate Internet would mean all those holier-than-thou types would be denied their porn unless they had two Internet subscriptions. Those people who tell their wives that the occasional "Oh, god! More! More!" coming out of their computer's speakers is an "on line prayer group" are going to be in a world of hurt once they have to pay for the unholy internet as well. Republicans would scream about how any government-mandated personal expenditures for a second internet subscription are patently unconstitutional, so the puritanical anti-porn types aren't likely to get anywhere with the walled off Internet idea.

It was speculated in a brief comment last night that the identity of OTVIIIisGrrr8! is actually a sock puppet for Tony Ortega. However, we note RTC's obsession with the Catholic Church, the consistent ascribing of super hacking powerz and other assorted omnipotence to Anonymous, the Inquisition (which involved an early form of sec checking) and the vicious contempt for all things to do with the porn, drugs, politics and Free Speech that we in Internet Barratry live for. Ortega may be into the latter but doesn't seem to spend a lot of time writing about Catholicism or the Inquisition.

Thus, in line with our propensity for stating definitively things we can't actually find the evidence for, we conclude that OTVIIIisGrrr8! not a sock puppet for Ortega but is in fact a sock puppet for Rick Santorum. Or Cardinal Tomas de Torquemada, the guy in charge of that whole Spanish Inquisition thing a few years back. Or, maybe, following the most holy Scriptures of Scientology, OTVIIIisGrrr8! is the whole-track thetan Rick Santorum, who just happened to occupy the body of Torquemada back in the day.

Update:

RTC renews the attack:

People keep talking about Scientology here. This is good news as it proves that Scientology is the most popular topic of conversation everywhere in the world. We in RTC were just assuring our friends in the Nation of Islam how very well loved Scientology is on a global basis. Sure, we reassured NOI officials, there are isolated pockets of hatred against Scientology, but these instances of hatred are the work of a handful of bitterly decaffeinated apostles.

We showed NOI officials our Alexi search result which clearly proves that Scientology.Zrg is the #1 site on the entire internet. Higher than even NASCAR and NFL football websites, Scientology.Zrg is visited by a lot of people everyday who come in search of answers to life's toughest questions. People ask us why there is injustice. They ask us how it is that a good and decent church like Scientology is tried in the wog courts of opinion. We tell these seekers the same thing that we tell the Nation of Islam: It all began in a catastrophe 75,000,000 years ago that created tremendous Suppression and Suppressive People.

These "Suppressive People" congregate at places like the VV or at John P.'s home where they plot to destroy Scientology.

This is why we in RTC fight.

This is why we in RTC will win this battle with Debbie Cook, a battle that is far worse than the one we waged with the IRS. We won that battle too. We won against all odds. We proved that Scientology is religious-ish.

Once we in RTC win this open and shut case in Texas, we plan to open Ideal Org San Antonio in celebration. Our plans call for a 5,000,000 square foot highrise building of 170 stories. At 2.800 feet in height, Ideal Org San Antonio will be taller than the Burj Dubai, the world's tallest building located in one of those countries overseas whose name we forget.

Anyway, our new Ideal Org will dominate the San Antonio skyline to celebrate our legal victory that has been ordered and decreed by COB RTC David Miscavige, the World's most compassionate person as attested to do by the stack of sworn affidavits that are on file in our offices.

From comments on Tony’s article: Scientology + Nation of Islam Charter School to be Exorcized from the Earth Forever and Ever

RTC:

The reason that we in RTC were assuring our friends in the Nation of Islam about things only yesterday is that we knew. We knew that NOI was about to face a baptism in fire courtesy of Big PharmaPsychiatry (BPP).

We knew that BPP was going to destroy the baby in its crib by nuking the Life Force school and Dr. Islam. Reason: Dr. Islam opposed shoving a funnel down the throat of every child under her care and force-feeding them a diet of Psych drugs and birth control pills as dictated by the Psychiatric Illuminati who run public education in the West.

We knew that that Tampa Bay Times, a division of BPP, was behind it.

We knew all of this because we in RTC are embedded in Fox and Fox is Rupert Murdoch and Murdoch is a crypto-Scientologist who has the means to get intelligence in many ways. Not all of the means are apparently 100% legal, but we in RTC never ask, we don't know, and we deny everything.

What we do know is that Fox Signals Org (FSO -- not to be confused with Flag Service Org) used a special "green scanner" to intercept NRO data on the BPP's sinister plan to drive a wedge between the Church of Scientology and the Nation of Islam.

BPP feared our united power to steer the minds of young people towards Sanity and away from both dangerously addictive street drugs and the "prescribed drugs" forced on children by drug pushers in white lab coats called Psychiatrists: That stethoscope Psychs wear might as well be a Mac 10 assault rifle because they are slowly and legally killing at least 3,000 children every hour of every day. The Tampa Bay Times never reports on the Psychiatric Killing Machine because BPP has ordered its lackeys there to attack the Scientology religion.

By way of closing, if only to cap it all, we in RTC work to expose the the double-teaming play of the Psychiatric Illuminati: If a drug pusher on the street can't get twelve year old kids hooked on crystal meth, why then Plan B calls for the schools to do it using Psychiatrists. Either way, BPP makes money and so do the fellows in Global Capitalism HQ who own all of the Psych drug companies that feed their very lucrative War on Drugs and Prison Industry.

The boat shoe-wearing magnificoes in Global Capitalism HQ are the Psychiatric Illuminati. They are Monsters in Khaki out to fiendishly destroy the planet. This is why Scientology Technology is so vitally needed to break up the stranglehold of Big PharmaPsychiatry aka the Psychiatric Illuminati.

We in RTC wear shiny black jackboots when we are fired on a mission. Well, we are on a mission to obliterate Big PharmaPsychiatry. We are about to kick down BPP's door using our shiny black jackboots. When these fellows are all in prison we will burn their boat shoes and khakis as a way of symbolically destroying them. However, we will keep their Ralph Lauren shirts as those shirts are actually quite nice. We in RTC agree with Global Capitalism about quality shirts.

Global Capitalism (Internet Barratry):

We in Global Capitalism HQ applaud the ability of you in RTC to dodge out of the way at the last second and leave the Nation of Islam holding the bag after the school board stomped so harshly on your Life Force Academy gig.

That is exactly what we in hedge funds do thousands of times a day... we hold on to a stock until the last possible moment before bad news comes out then we sell it to legions of unsophisticated senior citizens who like to "play the market." They are the ones holding the bag when the music stops. Our game of market musical chairs is like the one you in RTC play every so often with executives in the Hole, except that ours takes less time and it looks more civilized on the surface, so it is a tolerated, if misunderstood, ritual of daily life.

We in Global Capitalism HQ wish to point out for the sake of factual accuracy that the Tampa Bay Times, like all our media properties, does not report to our Big Pharma Psychiatry operating unit. In RTC terms, it's on a different org board. We have a much more flexible governance structure that allows any of our various corporate entities to get story ideas into print as fast as necessary.

How do you think several of our tourism-related businesses generated so much interest in your legal tribulations in San Antonio practically overnight, which got you panicked enough to hire 62,000 lawyers as you remarked the other day, which immediately drove record profits in our area hotel properties and an "unprecedented expansion" in the occupancy rate for the AlamoDome? If the Times reported up through BPP, the tourism people would probably be still negotiating with the pharma advertising guys to cut down the ads for erectile dysfunction ads in the paper to make room for a story that, once planted, will make us millions. Instead, the cash from your legal adventures is already rolling in.

We in Global Capitalism HQ wish to disagree respectfully with RTC's analysis of the demand for the psych drugs we sell. We in Global Capitalism HQ point out that you in RTC are actually our best salesman. If you had not raised prices for attaining OT VIII at a rate ten times faster than inflation over the last 40 years (as we showed a couple weeks back in our analysis), we might be worried about you as competition. Today, a course of some of our personal favorite anti-depressants costs perhaps $4,000 per year. But going from OT III to OT IV costs at least $25,000 and takes at least a year to complete. So even if your "tech" worked, an admission that we do not make, it's still six times what it costs for us to push pills.

The insurance companies we own pay for the psych drugs made by other companies we own because we tell them to. But if you came along with something that worked, even, say 30% of the time, but which cost only $2,500, we'd kick the pharma companies to the curb overnight. Actually, since we wear boat shoes, which lack steel toes and offer far less ankle support than your jackboots, we'd basically nudge them in the right direction with our toe to get them to take themselves to the curb, so it would take a couple days, rather than literally happening overnight.

If you cut prices to competitive levels, we'd make the insurers pay for OT IV auditing instead of psych drugs. We'd save $1,500 per head per year, and we'd keep the premiums the same. With 48 million Americans on psych drugs, $1,500 per year translates into incremental profits for our insurance companies of $72 billion per year. The offsetting hit to Big Pharma is only a small percentage of that because of the manufacturing cost and R&D bills that we have to pay. We in Global Capitalism HQ revel in the fact that RTC thinks it is shutting us down but all RTC's amusing little schemes seem to end up making us richer than they make you.

Since you in RTC are hell-bent on your strategy to maximize your unit price rather than aggregate revenue, we tell companies that allowing us to reimburse Scientology auditing services would make premiums soar even further than the 20% annual increases we shove down their throats. They are grateful at the apparent fiscal restraint we exhibit on a daily basis and invariably sign up for the optional "Psych Prescription Plus" coverage module.
Speaking of jackboots, thank you for letting us know that you have fired a mission to kick in some pharma doors using your shiny new kicks. Fortunately, we put that information to work buying a bunch of out-of-the-money "put" options on the NYSE Pharmaceutical Drug Index (the "DRGX"), in sufficient size that we have more than covered our long positions in the underlying stocks. So thanks to the magic of the markets, we've priced in a realistic assessment of what you might accomplish should this be more than mere bluster, and we make money either way. That is the beauty of hedge funds. We in Global Capitalism HQ love our life.

Even more amusing, by announcing your intention to deliver market-moving news in this public forum, there is no way, no how that we have engaged in anything close to insider trading. Not that anybody ever really goes to jail for that anyway, but we prefer to be tidy with respect to loose ends.

Finally, we are glad that we are in complete agreement with RTC about the value of nice shirts. We find that Ralph Lauren not only washes up nicer but also holds a pressing longer than less expensive haberdashery, including those awful poly/cotton blends put out by that Trump fellow, one of the few real estate tycoons we don't own.

Scientology ex-gay reparative therapy inflicted on a 19-year- old gay man

Scientology ex-gay reparative therapy of Allen Averay-Jones

When Australian Allen Averay-Jones was nineteen he was pressured into signing a contract to work for the rest of his life for the Sea Org, the Church of Scientology elite corps who occupy all middle-level managerial and executive positions in the transnational corporation, which aggressively markets unlicensed medical and psychiatric counseling based on the pseudo-scientific theories of L. Ron Hubbard.

Allen has always known that he is gay. He had never shared the fact with anyone in his family. He was also married and had a new-born daughter.

He was outed during interrogation upon entering the Sea Org. He was subsequently subjected to seven to ten hours a night of ex-gay reparative therapy for three weeks.

L. Ron Hubbard despised homosexuals and considered them to be "covert hostile" sociopaths and recommended that if they refused his brand of psycho-therapeutic processing they should be quarantined from society and "disposed of quietly and without sorrow."

In 2009 the Church of Scientology in San Diego signed on with the opponents of Proposition Eight in California that would have legalized gay marriage.

Oscar-winning director Paul Haggis defected over the Church of Scientology's intense homophobia. He said, "I spent thirty-four years in a cult." Lawrence Wright has written an extensive account of Paul Haggis' defection in an article in The New Yorker.

Allen had to quite literally escape from the Sea Org in the dead of night running as he was pursued and dropping all his belongings.

We include below the full texts of Allen's two accounts of his ex-gay reparative therapy. We have left errors of spelling etc. untouched., and itlaicized passages of significance such as the following:

That night i was also told that it was required that i "Dissconnect" with the mother of my new born daughter because quote "You need to dedicate yourself to this, you dont have time for a Surpressive Person like a woman who would have a child of a homo"

...

As part of this process i was again audited and asked a very long series of questions. Some were very disgusting like had i had sex with children or animals i was disgusted that they would even ask that questions... then in amongst all theses filthy things they ask have you had sex with another male .

The e-meter reacted. I had been outed. My worst nightmare was about to come true. None of my family at this point knew i was gay.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

From the Ex-Scientologist Message Board (ESMB), December 11, 2009

Hey Guys,

My name is Allan Averay-Jones, i am 21 years old and the Cousin of Fiona Peachy and nephew of Jame & Liz. I share quite alot of personal details in this story and trust noone will judge.

My experience with Scientology is not expansive i have completed several couses in both the Canberra and at AOSH ANZO. Originally i simply completed a Communications course to assit me in my job working for my Aunty at a Cd store in the Canberra Org.

A few years later i went to visit my other cousin at AOSH ANZO just to check on her because i was feeling a bit apprehensive about her being so young and living and working for COS.

Before i knew it i had been forced to watch the Sea Org recruitment movie about 10 times and before i knew it caved and signed my life away.

I was then that after noon driven from sydney to my apartment in newcastle (about a 2.5hr drive) by my handler and made to pack my belongs and leave with him (much to the devestation of my friends who i was living with).

I was then placed on a project prepare and completed a further number of couses (not before being coached on how to call my mum and convince her to pay for said courses) eventually about 2 months later going though my E-metering it became evident that i was a homosexual (something my family did not know at the time) despite having a new born daughter.

Instantly i was sent down to Ethics [Ed. - the Church of Scientology's internal police force who administer punishments] and banned from seeing my cousin any further. I was left in eithics for a week and then body routed to the Sydney City Org being told we had to handle the situation before i could become a working member of the Sea Org.

About a week after arriving at the Sydney City Org, i was being taught how to administer a "Free Personality Test", i was approached by who i now believe was the special affiars officer [Ed. the Office of Special Affairs (OSA) Scientology's external relations cum intelligence agency in charge of security] who told me that one of my friends had reported me as being kidnapped by the church.

I was told to call the police instantly and tell them i was safe and well and here of my own violition. I was then told to contact this friend and "Dissconnect".

That night i was also told that it was required that i "Dissconnect" with the mother of my new born daughter because quote "You need to dedicate yourself to this, you dont have time for Surpressive Person like a woman who would have a child of a homo"

I was staying in glebe with a number of Scientologists who were very dedicated and spent as much of their free time avaliable trying to assist in the brainwashing process feeding me full of Scientology information.

As soon as this happend i became weary of COS but decided to try and stay close to my cousin. Eventually i had to just walk away, i had managed to stay in contact with the mother of my daughter she came to sydney one day and i just left everything.

A hand sketched picture of my mother and me form when i was a small child, a $5000 Mason Gutair, all my clothes except the ones on my back and all my other possessions.

I hoped and prayed my cousin and family would one day come out the other side of Scientology. Fortunatly most of them have and i am so happy for them. I just want to see Fiona Peachy back with her family who love her dearly. I miss you Fiona please come home....

++++++

Dear Reader;

The following is my account of how i got involved in Scientology and how i was treated when they discovered i was gay.

There is more to my roller coaster ride in this cult that i will share later but this is about the homosexual discrimination and the physical and mental abuise i suffered as a result.

In year 10 i was working for family in a CD store in Albury, NSW. I really loved my job and loved this part of my family, they always seemed so happy and in charge of life.

I was a very shy teenager and for as long as i can remember had been a gay., tho i dared not tell anyone or act upon it. My Auntie and Uncle suggested that i come and do a Communications Course to help me get more confident.

I was a bit hesitant about this but went ahead and went to Canberra where the place was. I wasn't really sure what "Scientology" was but i always knew that only this part of my family was into it.

The course was a tad odd and i remember thinking of several occasions how is this meant to help me. Well i am one that can testify now this course changed my life. I came right out of my shell and finally could look people in the eye when i spoke with them.

After this i moved a few times with my mum and had no further training for a few years. In this time i had also had 1 heterosexual relationship and we had a daughter.

My next experience with the Church was hearing that my cousin that i was very close to had joined the "Sea Org" and worked and lived with them in sydney. Well i didn't really know what "Sea Org" was but i just wanted to visit my cousin and make sure she was ok.

When i arrived in Sydney from Newcastle i found my way to Greek St in Glebe where i was told my cousin was. I walked in the reception and there she was.

Well this didn't seem to bad, the place was immaculate, and expensive. My reservations were somewhat relived. A lady saw me talking to my cousin and swiftly came over to enquire what i was doing here.

I said my cousin worked here and i just wanted to see her. I was told she was about to come off shift and if i wanted to watch a quick movie to past the time she would put one on.

I agreed. Well i was led to the projector room. The "Sea Organisation" recruitment video came on. They were saving the planet, it needed to be done now, they need more people. It stopped and started to replay... This went on over and over i estimate between 10-20 times...

Finally a lady came in and said she wanted me to answer a questionnaire. I was feeling quite drowsy and went along. I was suddenly on a body routing form all i wanted to do was see my cousin.

I answered the questionnaire and then was body routed back to the movie theater to watch another film this time about LRH. After this was played 3-4 times the lady came and got me and handed me back to my cousin.

She explained that they wanted me to join the Sea Organization as well but it was completely up to me and all we had to do was wait for the Personality Test results to come back and in the mean time we caught up.

The results arrived and they said that the results were ok and i would just need to meet with an Auditor [Ed. - a Scientology pseudo-psychotherapist].

I was led to a very small room and told to sit at the table. I had seen an E-meter before and knew the process. I was asked a series of questions about the exam and weather i answered the questioner truthfully. This was all fine.

When i returned to the lobby my cousin said that i would need to complete a project prepare. I was told i needed to sign a billion year contract as a "token" of my dedication and that everyone just did it. I was led to believe that it was meaning less anyways and at the time did not know the consequences as a result of my defection.

I was told that i would need to complete a number of courses at my own expense to complete this. They said i was to call my mum and tell her i need her to pay for one of the courses and it was really important.

I was drilled through the entire process prior to calling her and actively coached the entire way through it. I felt a bit weird doing this as i had never asked for big sums of money like that before.

I completed my next course in my project prepare fairly quickly it was the Ups & Downs Course ( A course designed to help you improve you outlook on life and deal with any situation). Part of this course was writing down all your Overs [Ed. - bad deeds or sins] and Omissions that you have ever done. This is where the truth came out.

As part of this process i was again audited and asked a very long series of questions. Some were very disgusting like had i had sex with children or animals i was disgusted that they would even ask that questions... then in amongst all theses filthy things they ask have you had sex with another male.

The e-meter reacted. I had been outed. My worst nightmare was about to come true. None of my family at this point knew i was gay.

The Auditor quickly left the room and after about 40 minuets of sitting alone in the room a lady walked in and said I had to go to ethics and we would "handle" the homosexual situation.

I was then led to Ethics and told to study a booklet "The way to Happiness" i had to word clear (look up the meaning of every work contained in the booklet) and i had to memorize the meanings and the entire booklet and i would be tested. This took me almost a week.

During this time i was spending 8-10 hours a day in ethics and then taken to an apartment close by and audited away from the church by a special auditor to handle the gay topic.

This involved the auditor demanding specific, detailed and very private information out of in of my sexual experiences with men and other various aspects of my life.

This would go on for anywhere between 7-10 hours a night. After i completed that course i was going to be put to work with the e-meter doing free personality test on the street..

However a PTS (Potential Trouble Source) situation occurred where a friend reported that he was concerned i was being held against my will.

I was coached by 2 handlers how to handle the police and i was told exactly what to say over and over and there were severe punishments for not following what you are being told.

I was sleep deprived and violated by these questions. I was also given a status of "Non Exsistance" by the church as well.

This meant that no one could look at me or speak to me because they believed that homosexuality is a contagious disease.

I was victimized and abused about my sexuality in that apparent and it still scares me to this day. I wanted to help save the planet so bad and be with my cousin to look after her. But my ice was wearing thin..

The final straw came when the Church some how found out i had regained contact with the mother of my child and i was told to instantly disconnect from her because "What type of woman would want to have a child with a poof.. She must be an SP".

She was the only contact that i had still to the outside world. And that pissed me right off. I remained calm because i knew that i had to be smart to get out.

I snuck out to the tree where i had my mobile phone hidden that night and made a distraught phone call to her.

Come and rescue me please.

She said she would meet me tomorrow at this time. The plan was set.

The next night i tried to organised all my stuff together and pretended to go to sleep with everyone else. I got up about 4am and started to sneak off i tried to grab all my stuff but before i could someone woke up and noticed i was running. He chased after me i had to drop most of my belongings and got in her car and left. I had finally escaped.

I share this story as i believe it shows you the Church of Scientology's total disregard for Human Rights and their attitude towards homosexuals.

There is so much more that happened and i will share those stories when the time is right. This shows how ruthless the cult is and will take advantage of their control over you the second they have it.

Église de scientologie: un physiothérapeute blâmé de prosélytisme

A Quebec physiotherapist has been reprimanded by his professional order for promoting the Church of Scientology to his patients.

The Church of Scientology is classified as a religion in Quebec, but as a sect in France and other European countries.

Regardless of whether this is a religion or a sect, the code of ethics of the Order of Physiotherapists prohibits its members from promotional activity that is "likely to unduly influence persons who may be physically or emotionally vulnerable."

It was a patient of Raymond Soucy who complained after she noticed pamphlets about the theories of the Church of Scientology placed in the waiting room of his clinic in Shawinigan.

The physiotherapist also sold some of the church's books to his patients. In addition, he posted a petition asking people to denounce the use of medications prescribed in psychiatry.

At the hearing held last year regarding the complaint, the physiotherapist pleaded not guilty, claiming that the literature was public information because it was already on the web.

"The informational and promotional materials about various theories specific to the Church of Scientology have nothing to do with the profession of physiotherapy. Moreover, it is certain that this literature may have a harmful influence on some patients," wrote the disciplinary board of the Quebec Professional Order of Physiotherapy in its recent ruling [official name: Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec].

Raymond Soucy "failed to distinguish between his personal beliefs and his professional role, therefore he is guilty of the infractions charged in the complaint," concluded the disciplinary board. Last month, the physiotherapist was ordered to pay a $3,000 fine. La Presse reached Mr. Soucy by telephone at his clinic yesterday, but he declined to comment on the board's decision.

The spokesman for the Church of Scientology of Montreal, Jean Larivière, said he was "surprised" by this disciplinary decision. The Church of Scientology encourages its followers to promote its teachings, he said. "Those who practice Scientology experience benefits on a personal level. It's normal that they want to tell others about it," says Larivière. Nevertheless, a person must be sure to have the employer's permission, he insists, not wishing to comment on Mr. Soucy's case, whose details he does not know.

A controversial movement

"The Church of Scientology is one of the most controversial movements in the world," says the Executive Director of Info-Cult, Mike Kropveld, "But here in Quebec, we receive few questions and complaints about it."

The fact that the Church of Scientology is classified as a religion here does not mean that the movement is approved by the authorities, says the specialist on new religious movements. "This classification does not guarantee anything," warns Mr. Kropveld.

Canadian film director Paul Haggis, who won an Oscar for his film Crash, was one of the celebrities of the Church of Scientology. He was a member for 34 years, but left in 2009. Last winter, he gave a revealing interview to an American magazine that published a stunning article on the organization's inner workings. He accused his former church of exploitating minors and of justifying violence. He also criticized its opposition to gay marriage and the way it treats its critics.

The movement was founded in 1954 by American science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard and claims 10 million followers worldwide. The Executive Director of Info-Cult questions this. "We do not know what their definition of a member is. Do they count people who are only subscribed to their newsletter? Who took one of their courses? Who bought their book?" asks Mr. Kropveld.

In the latest Statistics Canada census, 1,525 people replied that they are Scientologists. The movement has religious facilities in Montreal and Quebec City.

The Montreal spokesman, Mr. Larivière, believes that the Church of Scientology has many more followers in Canada, including "several thousand" in the province of Quebec. "Many people have read our teachings, but the level of involvement varies. Some come see us every week, others once every three years," he says.

The Church of Scientology bases its practices on Dianetics, techniques that, according to its followers, eliminate illness, anxiety and aggressiveness, among other things.

In the United States, the organization has many public faces, including actors Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Juliette Lewis. In Quebec, singer France D'Amour revealed that she has been a Scientologist for many years on the popular talk show Tout le monde en parle.

David Love: Scientology Narconon - Cult Rehab Center

David Love has published a new video on the connections between the Church of Scientology and its front group Narconon at Trois-Rivieres in Quebec. We have previously written about him shaking Narconon in Canada.

Seen in the video are damning emails evidencing Church of Scientology control of Narconon.

Of Catholic interest you will note at around 1:40 an image of the address sign in front of Narconon. It includes Maison Carignan, a detoxification clinic founded by Dr. Yvon Carignan; and Institut Seculier Les Oblates M.M.I. (OMMI)

The Oblates are known in English as The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, and are a Roman Catholic secular institute for women equivalent to a religious order. They were founded by French Canadian priest Fr. Louis-Marie Parent in 1952. In 1958 he founded the Voluntas Dei Institute, another secular institute for laymen, couples, and clergy. It has its headquarters office at the same address as Narconon Trois-Rivieres.

The buildings on the property occupied by Narconon appear to have belonged to OMMI since there is a chapel there.

David Love has also recommended these videos as evidence for Church of Scientology control over Narconon:

Scientology - Narconon TR Expose

The video shows Church of Scientology Training Routines (TRs) that are used in Narconon.

David Love shakes Narconon Canada

David Edgar Love is about to shake Narconon in Canada. Narconon is Scientology's most lucrative front group and sells its dangerous pseudo-scientific treatments for drug rehabilitation through private rehabilitation centers and taxpayer funded government contracts. Sixteen Narconon facilities in the US generate more than $50MM in revenue every year.

David Love, originally from British Columbia, was both a client and a staffer at the Narconon rehabilitation facility in Trois-Rivieres, half way between Montreal and Quebec City. He left in disgust taking with him masses of documentation on fraud and abuse in Narconon (NN) Trois-Rivieres (TR) facility in 2009.

He was befriended by members of Anonymous Quebec, whose right to free speech had been defended by Cardinal Marc Ouellet at his annual press lunch in 2009. Anonymous developed very good relations with the media and government offices.

Love has since then written several petitions and is preparing a lawsuit. As Love has being doing his work preparing his complaints, former Narconon staffers and clients not only from NN TR but US facilities have come forward to share with Love their stories of fraud, abuse, and dangerous detoxification protocols.

Among the most irate are the families of NN clients who have paid $25,000 - $30,000 for Narconon's program only to see their loved ones relapse.

We expect there to be much more reporting in the media over the next several months as Love files his petitions and prepares is lawsuit.

Among the ex-clients to come forth is Robert Vincent Piro, who has recounted his experience of NN TR is his When God Called On My Cellphone, now available at Amazon US and Amazon Canada. Piro writes his eye-opening story from his perspective as a grateful Catholic Christian in recovery.

Piro is the first former client to publish a book exposing Narconon, which contains much evidence that Narconon is nothing but a Church of Scientology operation despite Narconon's protestations that it has nothing to do with David Miscavige's violent and abusive organization.
